Answers to common questions about MS Cert Tutor — studying, exams, dashboard metrics, and admin workflows.

Getting started

  • Open Home to browse available certification packs in the catalog.
  • Select a certification to view domains, objectives, and session options.
  • Choose Study mode to learn with feedback, or Exam mode for a timed practice run.
  • Your most recent certification appears on the Home dashboard progress card.

Study vs exam mode

  • Study mode gives instant feedback after each answer and access to the AI tutor.
  • Exam mode simulates the real test: timed session, no feedback until you submit.
  • Use study sessions to build confidence, then switch to exam mode to benchmark readiness.

Dashboard metrics

  • Overall Progress — unique questions you have answered divided by published questions in the pack.
  • Current Streak — consecutive days (UTC) you started at least one session, including today.
  • Exams Passed — distinct certifications where you passed a completed exam-mode session.
  • Time Studied (This Week) — total session time for sessions started in the current UTC week.

During an exam

  • Use Exam Progress in the toolbar to jump between questions and review flagged items.
  • Answers save automatically when you navigate to another question.
  • Mark questions for review, then use End Questions before submitting your final score.
  • Open Help in the exam toolbar for navigation, calculator, and theme options.

Results and review

  • After submitting an exam, view your scaled estimate, pass/fail status, and domain breakdown.
  • Use the results page to identify weak objectives and follow learn links for remediation.
  • Study session history contributes to your question coverage and dashboard progress.
